Aaron Gallegos started his medical career at 19 as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. His service allowed him to gain experience in many different medical settings – from treating field-related injuries of active Marines to hospitalization and discharge.
After his initial enlistment, he continued working as a medical assistant at a community clinic in Encinitas, CA. He had the great privilege of helping those in most need of medical assistance, including migrant workers and uninsured residents in San Diego.
While attending nursing classes at University of Texas in El Paso, he gained experience as a clinical lab assistant, phlebotomist and microbiology tech. He was deployed to active duty in 2002, and formally completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and became a Registered Nurse. Following graduation he practiced as an emergency room nurse at the county hospital in El Paso, TX.
He earned his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from University of Texas at El Paso in 2014. Following graduation, he worked at Parkland Hospital’s ER observation unit in Dallas, TX.
His multimodality approach to disease prevention promotes healthy lifestyle habits and wel lbeing with a focus on diet as the key to total wellness.
